Michelle Heimberg (25), the European champion, still has to wait for her first medal at the World Championships after eight European Championship medals. In Singapore, the athlete from Aargau came 8th from the 3-meter board.

At least 8th place! Things could have turned out less well for Michelle Heimberg. After three of five jumps in the semi-finals on Saturday morning, she did not make it to the final. With two successful jumps, she then narrowly managed to qualify for the final of the best twelve (in eleventh place).

Heimberg got off to a brilliant start there three hours later. She was even able to hope for a medal after three fully successful jumps. However, the two jumps with which she had saved her qualification for the final in the morning did not go perfectly.

With 309.45 points, Heimberg clearly missed the total with which she had won gold at the European Championships in Antalya (335.10). If she had performed as well as she did at the end of May in Turkey, Heimberg would have won bronze. This time, however, she only came 4th among the Europeans.
