January 25, 2019: Odermatt finishes in the points in 24th place in his personal downhill debut on the Hahnenkamm. The 21-year-old junior world champion, who benefits from the improved conditions, loses 2.14 seconds to winner Dominik Paris and is the third-best Swiss behind Beat Feuz (2nd) and Mauro Caviezel (22nd).

January 24, 2021: When Beat Feuz doubles up on the Streif, Odermatt becomes the second-best Swiss in tenth place. He thus achieves a personal best in a World Cup downhill. Odermatt was not allowed to start in Feuz's first victory two days earlier because the race was stopped after 30 racers due to strong winds.

January 21, 2022: Odermatt (5th), the best Swiss skier on the day, is 15 hundredths off the top 3 when Norway's Aleksander Kilde wins. The man from Nidwalden loses the decisive amount of time in the middle section of the Streif, where gliding skills are particularly important.

January 23, 2022: In the second downhill in Kitzbühel within three days, Odermatt is only ahead of fellow countryman Beat Feuz, by 0.21 seconds. At the last intermediate time measurement, the Swiss duo are exactly the same speed to the hundredth of a second, but due to Odermatt's not quite successful entry into the traverse, Feuz secures the next Kitz victory on the final slope.

January 20, 2023: Odermatt chooses an extreme line on the steep slope and can only prevent a fall with great difficulty. Despite pain in his left knee - a meniscus contusion, according to the diagnosis after the race - he finishes the race in 54th place. He forgoes the second downhill the following day to rest. A good three weeks later in Courchevel, Odermatt is crowned downhill world champion.

January 19, 2024: Despite taking the lead, Odermatt, who had won twice in the downhill in Wengen the week before, sensed as soon as he crossed the finish line that he would not make it to the top step of the podium with this run. 0.34 seconds behind Frenchman Cyprien Sarrazin, the third-placed man from Central Switzerland.

January 20, 2024: Despite a clear best time and exuberant celebrations in the finish area, Odermatt can only hope for his first downhill victory on the Streif for a good two minutes. Then Sarrazin puts in a dream run. Odermatt clearly needs time to process. Minutes later, he was still shaking his head slightly at the huge gap of 0.91 seconds. In the end, Odermatt was still satisfied with his position. "Another time on the podium in Kitzbühel, that's brilliant, even though my goal was clearly to win."
