Jonas Omlin has joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan from Borussia Mönchengladbach until the end of the season, the two clubs announced on Tuesday.

Jonas Omlin has played for Mönchengladbach since 2023 and has made 36 competitive appearances for the club to date. Most recently, the 32-year-old Swiss international goalkeeper has been set back by various injuries. As a result, he fell behind Moritz Nicolas in the goalkeeping hierarchy at Gladbach. Omlin played his last Bundesliga match seven months ago.
The loan is Leverkusen's reaction to the absence of regular goalkeeper Mark Flekken. Flekken will not be available for several weeks due to injury. With Omlin, the goalkeeping trio of Janis Blaswich and Niklas Lomb is complete again.
