Switzerland's final group match against hosts Germany on Sunday evening (21:00) in Frankfurt will be refereed by Daniele Orsato. It will be the Italian's second assignment at this European Championship.
In the first round, Orsato was involved in the clash between Serbia and England, which the English narrowly won 1:0.
The 48-year-old Orsato has been a FIFA referee since 2010 and has a wealth of experience. After officiating the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in 2020, he was named World Referee of the Year.
This is Orsato's fifth assignment at a major tournament after the 2016 European Championship (as fourth official), the 2018 World Cup (as VAR), the 2021 European Championship and the 2022 World Cup, where he officiated the opening match, among others.
