The eight-time goalscorer beat the two top scorers Raphinha from FC Barcelona and Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund (13 each), among others.
UEFA named Dembélé's team-mate Désiré Doué as the best young player of the season. The 19-year-old excelled in the final in Munich with two goals.
No fewer than seven Parisians made the team of the year: in addition to Dembélé and Doué, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was preferred to Yann Sommer, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes in defense and Vitinha in midfield.
