Portuguese striker Diogo Jota is dead. The 28-year-old Liverpool FC striker was killed in a traffic accident in Spain.

Jota was driving with his brother in the province of Zamora in north-western Spain early on Thursday morning when the car left the road and caught fire. The tragic incident occurred just two weeks after Jota had married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso in Porto.
Jota had been playing for the current English champions Liverpool for almost five years.
