After her first ever World Cup victory in the giant slalom, Camille Rast is ideally placed to triumph in the slalom for the first time this season. After the first run, the world champion leads by a tenth of a second ahead of American Mikaela Shiffrin, who is still unbeaten after five races this winter.

The two are likely to decide the victory between them, as Wendy Holdener is already 77 hundredths behind in 3rd place. After two 4th places and a 6th, 7th and 8th place each, she is ideally positioned to finish on the podium for the first time this season. Directly behind the World Championship silver medallist are Paula Moltzan (89 hundredths behind Rast), another American, and the Austrian Katharina Truppe (90 hundredths).

Mélanie Meillard is also on her way to a season's best result in twelfth place. Eliane Christen (17th place) should also make it into the second run.
