Camille Rast puts in a good performance in the first run of the slalom in Courchevel. After 30 racers, she is in 2nd place and has a good chance of her second podium finish of the current season.

Camille Rast was only beaten by Mikaela Shiffrin in France. As so often this season, the American was in a league of her own and distanced Rast by 0.83 seconds in the first run. They are currently followed by a German duo: Lena Dürr and Emma Aicher are in third and fourth place.
The first run went less well than for Rast for the other Swiss athletes. After 30 racers, Holdener is the second-best Swiss-Ski racer in 8th place. After a mixed 1st run, in which she lost a lot of time to the leaders, Holdener from Schwyz experienced a scary moment. Holdener crashed heavily in the finish area, after a brief moment she was able to leave the finish area.
Mélanie Meillard finished the top 30 of the first run in 15th place, more than three seconds behind the leader. Eliane Christen is currently in 20th place, so both are not yet certain of a place in the 2nd run. This starts at 20:45.
