Lucerne once again missed out on confirmation of a victory. A week after their clear success against YB, the Central Swiss side lost 2-1 at Servette.

Lucerne can fight and react when they fall behind, but they are struggling to build up the kind of streak needed to be at the top of the table. Three wins in a row once and two wins in a row twice are the best that Mario Frick's team has achieved in this respect in the current Super League.

Easter Monday would have been a good opportunity to follow up the 5-0 win against YB with another victory. Servette have not been at their best in recent weeks and have lost two home games in a row.

However, the Grenats got off to the perfect start against Luzern, with Anthony Baron scoring after just over four minutes with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Miroslav Stevanovic doubled his tally in the 55th minute with a penalty. It was the Bosnian's tenth goal of the season - the 34-year-old had never scored so often in his five previous Super League seasons for Servette.

Geneva had to tremble after the break. Donat Rrudhani reduced the deficit from the penalty spot shortly before the start of the final quarter of an hour, and the ball landed in Servette keeper Joël Mall's goal for a second time deep into stoppage time. However, the goal was disallowed due to a previous foul.
