In the round before the national team break, Sion led 2-0 against Lausanne-Sport after eleven minutes, with the scoreboard reading 2-2 at the end. Didier Tholot's team now needed 40 minutes to go two ahead after goals from Ilyas Chouaref and Rilind Nivokazi. The final result, however, was the same as in Vaud. Because the visitors from Zurich scored out of nowhere to get back into the game.

Interim coach Denis Hediger's team were celebrating immediately before and after the break. First, Steven Zuber scored from a harshly whistled hand penalty, which the video referee had intervened in beforehand. Then Philippe Kény scored the lucky equalizer. Zurich subsequently earned the point with an improved performance, with both sides having chances to score the winner in the closing stages.
