In the fifth end, the Swiss women managed a house of five after an evenly poised game. The preliminary decision was thus made.

Celine Schwizgebel, Stephanie Berset, Marina Loertscher and Corrie Hürlimann now have four wins and two defeats. If they manage another win against Turkey in the seventh of nine rounds this evening, the quartet will be firmly established in the top group.
