In the second downhill in Kvitfjell, a Swiss trio is in the lead after 30 racers: World Champion Franjo von Allmen leads ahead of Marco Odermatt and Stefan Rogentin.

As so often this season, the Swiss also delivered in the second-to-last downhill of the winter. The Swiss-Ski athletes are well on their way to their second triple victory of the season. At their home race in Crans-Montana, the Swiss already took all the podium places.

And just like on the Valais high plateau, Franjo von Allmen is leading the Swiss trio at the station in Norway. After a wild run the day before, which was good enough for 4th place, the world champion produced an almost flawless run on Saturday. He distanced Marco Odermatt, who in turn had a wild run and did not get through without mistakes, by 28 hundredths. The 23-year-old from the Bernese Oberland thus postponed the bullet decision in the downhill. If he had finished behind the man from Nidwalden, he would have had no chance of winning the small crystal globe. The winner of the downhill classification will therefore be decided at the season finale in Sun Valley.

Inspired by his first podium place in the downhill the day before, Stefan Rogentin once again put in a strong performance. The man from Graubünden is 38 hundredths behind in third place and is therefore well on his way to doubling up. Five hundredths behind the Swiss racer, Miha Hrobat, the fastest in the only training run, narrowly missed out on the podium.

Dominik Paris had to admit defeat. Friday's winner, who has already triumphed four times in the downhill in Kvitfjell, lost almost six tenths to Von Allmen and is currently in 6th place.

Justin Murisier improved compared to the first downhill and is on his way to a top 10 result in ninth place. For once, Alexis Monney did not get up to speed as desired and will finish just outside the top ten.

Marco Kohler (19th) and Lars Rösti (20th) also have their sights set on a place in the top 20.
