Swiss Olympic is "surprised and irritated" by the behavior of national ice hockey coach Patrick Fischer. He disregarded the applicable values.

Fischer took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing in February 2022 without being vaccinated and with a forged Covid certificate. The case became public on Monday evening.
In a statement that SRF obtained from the governing body of Swiss sport, Swiss Olympic, despite understanding Fischer's personal situation, assessed the action as a considerable risk - both for the coach himself and for his team and the entire Swiss delegation.
Swiss Olympic emphasized that it had no knowledge of Fischer's misconduct and was not responsible for checking the Covid certificates submitted. At the same time, the umbrella organization emphasized that transparency and mutual trust are key principles in the exchange with federations and participants. Fischer had violated these principles by making false statements to Swiss Olympic.
