Marc-André ter Stegen is leaving FC Barcelona. The German goalkeeper is joining league rivals FC Girona on loan for the rest of the season.

Barça coach Hansi Flick said at the press conference for the Champions League match at Slavia Prague on Tuesday evening: "This morning Marc told us that he will be moving to Girona." This was later officially confirmed by the clubs.
With the move from the Spanish champions to the tenth-placed team, the 33-year-old is hoping to get more match practice so that he can play as the number one goalkeeper for the German national team at the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
