Servette reacts to its weak start to the season. The Super League's second-to-last team in the table has released its coach Thomas Häberli with immediate effect.
Until Häberli's successor is found, the two current assistants Alexandre Alphonse and Bojan Dimic will be in charge of the team.
Häberli took up his position in Geneva last summer. Last season, Servette finished in 2nd place behind champions Basel under the 51-year-old from Lucerne.
However, the start to the new season was a complete failure. The opening match against YB was a 3:1 defeat. Last Saturday, Servette lost 1:4 at home to St. Gallen, while the Geneva side also failed to qualify for the Champions League against Viktoria Pilsen. The lucky 1:0 away win was followed by a 1:3 home defeat in front of the home crowd in the return match last week.
