The Swiss delegation can celebrate four medals at the European Shooting Championships in Châteauroux on Monday: three silver and one bronze.
Franziska Stark was the most successful with two silver medals. The 26-year-old rifle shooter from Biel missed out on the European title in the 50 m prone competition by a wafer-thin 0.7 points. Together with Olympic champion Chiara Leone and Anja Senti, she also took second place in the team competition.
The Swiss men were hardly inferior to the women. With Fabio Wyrsch, Jan Lochbihler and Christoph Dürr, they also won silver as a team. Wyrsch from Uri also took bronze in the individual event.
