FC St. Gallen has signed a striker with a big name. Three-time top scorer Jean-Pierre Nsame is returning to the Super League.

A year ago, Nsame left Young Boys as a six-time Swiss champion for Italy, where his career faltered. The 31-year-old Cameroonian played only a minor role in Como's promotion to Serie A and was loaned out to Legia Warsaw in the summer. The attacker played ten competitive matches for the 15-time Polish champions last term, scoring two goals in the process.
Now the top scorer in the Super League in 2020, 2021 and 2023 wants to get back to his old goalscoring form in eastern Switzerland. Nsame joins FC St. Gallen on loan with an option to buy until the end of the season, as the club announced on Thursday. Nsame still has a contract with Como that runs until the summer of 2026.
