Once again, golf star Tiger Woods is involved in a car accident. He is arrested on suspicion of drugs - but is released again on Saturday night.
He was released after eight hours in custody on bail. This was announced by the Martin County Sheriff's Office (near Palm Beach, Florida). The amount of the bail was not yet known.
Tiger Woods (50) was arrested on Friday afternoon - for driving under the influence and refusing a test in connection with his car accident. Woods was overtaking a vehicle in an off-road vehicle that wanted to turn at the same time. Woods' SUV struck the other vehicle, flipped sideways and skidded across the roadway. According to the sheriff in Florida, no one was injured. A breath alcohol test on Tiger Woods showed a value of "zero". Woods refused an additional urine test.
Back in February 2021, in Los Angeles, Tiger Woods drove off the road in a car, rolled over several times and suffered complicated leg fractures.
Woods recently planned to take part in the US Masters in Augusta, for which he is always eligible as a former winner.
