ITALY. Lia Wälti and Viola Calligaris won the Italian Supercup with Juventus Turin. Last season's double winners beat current league leaders AS Roma 2:1 in Pescara with Swiss substitute Alayah Pilgrim. Lia Wälti played through, while Calligaris watched the game from the substitutes' bench.

SPAIN. Sydney Schertenleib scored twice for FC Barcelona for the first time. The 18-year-old scored the 4-0 and 11-1 goals in the serial champions' highest win of the season (12-1 against Madrid CFF). After 15 rounds, the Catalans lead the table in Spain with 42 points and a goal difference of 74-4.

ENGLAND. Livia Peng had to relinquish her place in the starting line-up for Chelsea in the English Championship this weekend. After eight games in a row, for which the Swiss international received high marks, the reigning world goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, who had been injured for two months, returned to the Londoners' goal. Peng watched the defending champions' 5-0 home win over West Ham from the substitutes' bench.
