Young Boys celebrate their first win in the 7th round of the Super League at coach Patrick Rahmen's former club Winterthur, of all places. FCZ, Luzern and Lugano are a trio at the top.

The champions had to wait seven games before they finally achieved their first success in the championship. Then YB hosted Winterthur, who were in even greater crisis. Swiss neo-international Joël Monteiro was at the heart of the 4:1 victory with two goals. The Young Boys thus handed the red lantern to Winterthur.

At the other end of the table, Lugano missed out on the top spot with a 0-0 draw at FC Sion. A trio of teams - the Ticino side and Saturday's victors Lucerne (3-2 at St. Gallen) and Zurich (2-0 at Basel) - are now level on points, although FCZ have played one game less.

Lausanne-Sport recorded their first win in five rounds in the Vaud derby against Yverdon (3:1). The latter are without a full win away from home since August 2023 or 21 games. That is a Super League negative record.
