Young Boys outclassed Winterthur 5-0 in the 14th round of the Super League, while Luzern squandered an early two-goal lead against Servette and had to settle for a point.
YB were already 4-0 up against Winterthur after 29 minutes with goals from Jaouen Hadjam, Chris Bedia, Alvyn Sanches and Christian Fassnacht. Gerardo Seoane's team shifted down two gears in the second half and scored another goal through Fassnacht. With their second win in a row, the team from Bern consolidated second place, six points behind cantonal rivals Thun, who can restore the gap in the evening game against Lugano. Winterthur remain bottom of the Super League with just six points.
Lucerne squandered a comfortable lead against Servette, which Julian von Moos and Matteo Di Giusto had opened up by the 9th minute. Timothé Cognat (57') and Florian Ayé (72') ensured that Servette did not lose their eighth game in a row against Luzern. Lucerne are in 7th place with 18 points, while Servette have three points fewer and are in 10th place.
