The ZSC Lions are back at the top of the National League. The defending champions moved up from 4th to 1st place thanks to a 6-3 home win against Lausanne.
In the rematch of this year's playoff final, ZSC took a 4-0 lead by the 38th minute and also won its fifth home game of the current championship. The Lions overtook the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, Lausanne and Bern, who lost 2:4 in Zug, in the standings. While SCB lost again after three wins, EVZ ended a three-game losing streak. Lausanne lost for the first time after four victories.
Like ZSC, the SCL Tigers remain unbeaten at home this season after five games. The Emmental side defeated Biel 4-1, while Kloten suffered their first home defeat of the current season with a 5-2 loss to Genève-Servette. Davos beat Gottéron 4-1 in Freiburg, leaving Fribourg in second-last place.
