The three-day Open Air Frauenfeld attracted almost 160,000 visitors to this year's edition. For the organizers, the festival, which ended on Saturday, was a success despite the changeable weather.

"We can look back on a successful edition of the festival and are delighted that even the capricious weather didn't dampen the party mood of our guests," wrote the organizers in a press release on Sunday.

The highlights of this year's acts included headliners 21 Savage and Apache 207 on Thursday, US rapper Playboi Carti on Friday and female rappers Nicki Minaj and Shirin David on Saturday, the statement continued. A total of 73 acts from Europe and the USA played at Europe's biggest hip-hop festival. In addition to live acts, over 130 DJs from national and international labels played on five different dance floors until Saturday.

The dismantling of the stages on the Grosse Allmend began on Sunday night. It is expected to be completed in around two weeks.

Quiet festival for the police

The police also gave a positive assessment, with no major incidents occurring. From their point of view, the festival was relatively calm and mostly peaceful.

Around 30 reports were received from Wednesday to Saturday. In most cases, valuables were stolen from tents or cell phones. In some cases, jewelry was torn from visitors' necks. There were also four reports of robbery or attempted robbery and three of sexual harassment.

A total of eleven people were arrested, according to the Thurgau cantonal police. The ambulance service registered 1600 consultations, 150 of which required inpatient care. In eleven cases, the doctors ordered hospitalization for further treatment.
