According to the authorities, the more than 300 emergency services on site have moved from the search and rescue phase to the recovery of bodies. More than 150 injured people are still being treated in hospitals.

It is still unclear what led to the accident at the popular "Jet Set" club in the capital Santo Domingo. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday night when part of the roof fell onto the revelers during a concert by popular merengue singer Rubby Pérez. Pérez was also killed.
