Bern 20 animals die in barn fire in Eggiwil

A barn burned down in Eggiwil on Friday morning. According to the police, around 20 calves and cows could only be recovered dead.

No one was injured, as reported by the Bern cantonal police on Friday. When the emergency services arrived, the barn in Bläuetschwendi was already fully engulfed in flames. They were able to bring the fire under control and then extinguish it, according to the statement.

The Bern cantonal police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire and the amount of property damage.
