Azerbaijan 29 survivors registered so far after plane crash

Following the crash of an Azerbaijani plane in Kazakhstan, the local authorities have published a provisional list of names of 29 survivors. The list from the Mangistau regional administration included the names of two children, as reported by the Tengrinews news agency. An eleven-year-old girl stated that she lived in Germany. She did not know her nationality.

The plane crashed near the city of Aktau on the Caspian Sea with 67 people on board, according to the airline Azerbaijan Airlines. The authorities in Kazakhstan initially confirmed the deaths of four people. They are searching for further victims. Of the injured survivors taken to hospital, 14 were Azerbaijani nationals, 10 were Russian and two were from Kyrgyzstan. The cause of the crash is still unknown, but the airline initially said it was a possible bird strike.
