A 34-year-old Swiss national resident in the canton of Thurgau was arrested last Tuesday at the border crossing in Chiasso TI. A package containing 1.2 kilograms of cocaine was found on him.

The 34-year-old was subsequently questioned and arrested, as reported by the Ticino cantonal police together with the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland and the Federal Office for Customs and Border Protection on Friday. The man from Thurgau was charged with a serious violation of the Narcotics Act.
