The 177 women and 207 men are standing on 15 lists. This is one more list than in the last elections in 2020, when a total of 333 candidates were in the running. The full lists with the names of all candidates are to be published this Friday. The renewal elections will take place on September 22.

All five incumbents are running for the municipal government: Markus Buschor (non-party), Peter Jans (SP), Maria Pappa (SP), Sonja Lüthi (GLP) and Mathias Gabathuler (FDP). They are being challenged by Patrik Angehrn (center), Cem Kirmizitoprak (non-party) and Robin Eichmann (Juso).

A single nomination has been received for the election of the mayor: Mayor Maria Pappa is standing for re-election.
