Justice 44 people evacuated after accident in underground parking garage in Meggen LU
A 72-year-old female driver caused an accident in an underground parking garage in Meggen LU on Saturday evening and damaged a gas pipe in the process. 44 residents had to be temporarily evacuated.

According to the public prosecutor's office, the car first crashed into a metal railing and then into a wall. A gas pipe was damaged as a result of the collision, according to the press release issued on Monday.
The Meggen fire department had to evacuate 44 people from five nearby properties. Around five hours later, at around 03:00 on Sunday morning, the residents were able to return to their homes.
The woman and her passenger were taken to hospital as a precaution. The damage to property is estimated at around 45,000 Swiss francs.
