Investments in energy infrastructure projects such as solar, wind and hydropower plants are particularly popular. Swiss pension funds are also focusing on affordable housing, sustainable housing and microloans.
Compared to total investments, however, the proportion of impact-oriented investments remains manageable: on average, around 4.5% of the total assets of Swiss pension funds flow into impact investments.
