During questioning on Monday, the 29-year-old admitted that she had worked for two of the three women in Zurich. For example, she had arranged meetings with clients, translated or posted photos on erotic platforms. The third plaintiff, on the other hand, lied that she had nothing to do with her.
She never claims to have coerced the women. No pressure, no threats, no agreements with clients that the women knew nothing about. As soon as the judge asked questions along these lines, she replied "not true". The women had traveled to Switzerland voluntarily and knew what they were getting into.
She had brought her partner to Switzerland for her protection after her own negative experiences, said the accused, who also worked as a prostitute.
The public prosecutor's office accuses the couple of forcing the women, who come from the same area in Hungary and are partly related to the accused, into prostitution and exploiting them.
To hospital by ambulance
The judge was still in the middle of questioning the accused on Monday afternoon when their 39-year-old partner began to feel unwell. He had already complained that he had not been given lunch.
The sandwich specially brought by the judge did not seem to help. The man's condition was so dramatic that an ambulance had to take him to hospital - including an interpreter, police officer and lawyer. The trial was postponed indefinitely.
