The Innerrhoden Grand Council unanimously elected Albert Sutter from Schlatt-Haslen as its new President on Monday. Sutter succeeds Albert Manser. The new Vice President is Kathrin Birrer from Appenzell.

Albert Sutter was elected to the Innerrhoden cantonal parliament in 2018. He is a member of the Committee for Law and Security, which advises on matters relating to the Department of Justice, Police and Military. Sutter works as Head of Internal Sales in Gossau SG for a company that produces fittings.
