Insurance companies Allianz Group with record profit in day-to-day business
The insurer Allianz earned more in its day-to-day business in 2024 than ever before. Operating profit rose by almost nine percent to a good 16 billion euros, as the DAX-listed company announced on Friday.

It thus exceeded its original target range as well as the average expectations of analysts. For the new year, CEO Oliver Bäte is aiming for an operating profit of between 15 and 17 billion euros.
Shareholders are to receive a dividend of 15.40 euros per share for 2024 - an increase of 11.6 percent. In addition, there will be a share buyback of up to 2 billion euros.
In the past year, Allianz benefited above all from its largest division, the property and casualty business. The division increased its operating profit by around one billion euros to 7.9 billion euros. The bottom line for Allianz shareholders across the Group was a profit of a good 9.9 billion euros, 16 percent more than in the previous year.
