Politics Alpiq CEO calls for more action on energy transition and climate targets
Alpiq CEO Antje Kanngiesser has called for more action in the implementation of the energy transition and the achievement of climate targets. Switzerland is good at discussing, but lacks implementation.

"We need to put more pressure on the gearbox to deliver properly," said Alpiq CEO Antje Kanngiesser on Saturday on Radio SRF 1's "Samstagsrundschau".
When asked whether Switzerland and Alpiq will achieve the energy transition and climate targets by 2050, the head of the energy group mentioned the 2020 Round Table. "Today is 2025 and we have achieved nothing and done nothing since then," said Kanngiesser.
"We are good at discussing, good at processes and good at structuring, but action leaves a lot to be desired," she continued. The goals should not be postponed too early.
