Sales rose by 6.6 percent to 3.68 billion US dollars from July to September, as the company, which was spun off from Holcim in the summer, announced on Tuesday evening. Analysts had expected an average of around 3.5 billion dollars. Above all, the building materials business grew solidly, as Amrize explained.
The operating profit adjusted for special costs (Adj. EBITDA) shrank by 3.3 percent to 1.7 billion dollars, and the corresponding margin fell by 3.0 percentage points to 29.0 percent. According to Amrize, the temporary outage of facilities in the cement network, for example, had a negative impact of 50 million dollars.
Net profit fell by 1.6 percent to 543 million dollars.
For the full year 2025, sales in the range of 11.7 to 12.0 billion dollars are now forecast, compared to the previously promised 11.4 to 11.8 billion dollars. The forecasts of adjusted EBITDA of 2.9 and 3.1 billion dollars and a net debt ratio of less than 1.5x at the end of the year have not been changed.
