She will be succeeded by Annelis Lüscher Hämmerli, according to a press release on Tuesday. She has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2019. She is currently also Head of Finance at Helvetia Insurance Group, but will relinquish this position by the end of April 2026 at the latest, as was recently announced.
Lüscher Hämmerli prevailed in a multi-stage selection process and was her "preferred candidate", according to current Chairwoman Hunziker-Ebneter.
Hunziker-Ebneter herself has had a strong influence on BEKB during her time as Chairman of the Board of Directors to date, the press release continues. It is primarily thanks to her that the bank is now one of the leading institutions in the area of sustainability and has a solid capitalization and high earning power.
