The police officer told the court that the man, who had his hands tied behind his back, tripped on a step when getting into the police vehicle and fell.
The regional court of first instance did not accept this in September 2023. It assumed that the police officer had pushed the man he had stopped roughly into the car. It had sentenced the police officer to a conditional fine of 90 daily rates of CHF 110 and a fine of CHF 600 for abuse of authority and assault.
