With the end of subsidies on December 31, 2024, Sitem-Insel is one step closer to achieving its goal of self-sustainability. Further sales growth in the coming years will allow the center to cover the costs of the building and ongoing activities in the core areas itself.

Since its foundation in 2019, Sitem-Insel has established itself nationally and internationally and is now a key player in Bern as a medical location, CEO Simon Rothen said in a press release at the Annual General Meeting. The center has become a permanent fixture in translational medicine. Translation refers to the transition from theoretical research to practice.

Sitem-Insel AG remains tax-exempt as it pursues public purposes. The distribution of dividends to shareholders is excluded. No bonuses are paid to members of the Board of Directors.

The share capital amounts to CHF 20.4 million. Of this, CHF 6.8 million is still open for subscription, according to the press release.
