The Glarus cantonal parliament elected Daniela Bösch-Widmer (center) as its president on Wednesday. The 47-year-old curative teacher from Niederurnen will preside over the cantonal parliament for one year.

Bösch-Widmer succeeds Regula N. Keller from the Green Party, as the canton of Glarus wrote in a press release. Emil Küng (SVP) from Obstalden was elected as vice president.
