Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, who is considered Russia-friendly, does not want to attend the upcoming NATO summit in Washington due to the Ukraine policy of the government in Sofia. On Thursday, the press office of the presidential office justified Radev's refusal to lead the Bulgarian delegation at the NATO summit with his differences with the Bulgarian government over some of the country's positions for the NATO summit. According to the presidential office, this concerns obligations that Bulgaria is taking on in the war in Ukraine. However, Radev has strongly condemned Russian aggression from the very first day of the war, the statement emphasized.
