The Lucerne government has submitted a draft law for its e-government project "Objekt.lu" for consultation. In future, municipalities and other stakeholders will be able to use this to obtain property data on buildings and land.

"Objekt.lu" is a holistic solution for property management, wrote the canton's Department of Spatial Planning and Economic Affairs in a press release on Tuesday. Electronic data exchange is simplified as users no longer have to register individually with different systems.

Events relating to properties, for example when they are newly created, changed, revalued or demolished, must be recorded in each case - so-called property data. According to the press release, the land register, tax, insurance, construction, cadastral surveying, statistics and geoinformation departments are involved in the property system.

According to the press release, the actual database remains in the respective areas. Data exchange between the divisions will be regulated via a cantonal data hub. The costs for setting up, operating, developing and maintaining the data hub will be borne by the canton. The costs for the information system are to be shared between the canton and the municipality and amount to around CHF 200,000 per year.

The consultation period lasts until October 31. The dispatch will then be revised and submitted to parliament.
