Fire Burning car in Gommiswald

A parked car caught fire in Gommiswald SG on Wednesday afternoon. The cause is still under investigation. The vehicle was a total loss.

A 26-year-old man was driving his car from Uznach to Ernetschwil at 5.35 pm. He parked the car in front of a property in Gommiswald, according to the St. Gallen cantonal police on Thursday.

Immediately afterwards, the car started to burn. The cause still needs to be clarified by specialists from the Forensics Competence Center.
