With the Power Hat, EcoFlow has launched a product that combines sun protection and practical functionality. The black headgear not only provides shade, but also serves as a portable energy source. The entire brim of the hat is equipped with solar cells that achieve a relatively high efficiency of 23 to 24 percent.
According to the manufacturer, the Power Hat can fully charge an average smartphone within three to four hours in sufficient sunlight. With an output of up to 12 watts, two devices can even be charged simultaneously via the integrated USB-C and USB-A ports.

The hat has a small box that is integrated into the design and houses the necessary electronics. However, with a weight of 370 grams, the Power Hat weighs about as much as a conventional power bank. A sun hat without solar technology, on the other hand, usually only weighs around 100 grams.
The Power Hat is protected against dust and light moisture, so it can also be worn in light rain. However, hair can sometimes get wet as the top of the hat is also breathable.
The Power Hat is available in two sizes: Medium to Large (head circumference 56 to 58 centimeters) and Large to X-Large (head circumference 59 to 61 centimeters).
