Christian Kohlund on his role as grandfather

Christian Kohlund, the well-known actor, is the grandfather of two grandchildren at the age of 74. Despite his affection for them, he does not see himself as the ideal grandfather. "I could certainly be a better grandpa," admits the busy Swiss actor. His career often keeps him busy, especially with his role in the popular series "Der Zürich-Krimi", which has been on air since 2016. Filming requires frequent travel, which keeps him away from his family for weeks at a time. Kohlund lives in the Bavarian Forest in Germany.

"I think the children are great," Kohlund told the German Press Agency. He comes from a renowned family of actors and is curious to see whether his grandchildren will follow in his footsteps. "It's still too early to say whether they have acting talent," he added. The latest episodes of the series, which will be broadcast as a double episode in the first half of December, are already being planned.
