Court in Frauenfeld starts trial of serious child abuse
The trial of a 39-year-old man on charges of multiple sexual acts with children and multiple rapes began on Tuesday at Frauenfeld District Court. The accused appeared remorseful and largely confessed.

When questioning the accused, the judge described each individual accusation. "It's horrible, I take full responsibility," said the accused in tears, while the judge explained the details of serious sexual abuse of a pre-school child.
He himself had experienced abuse as a child. What he had done weighed heavily on him and he felt sorry for the victims and their families. "I am here to clear all this up," he told the judge.
According to the indictment, the accused injected around a dozen victims with the anaesthetic ketamine. He then assaulted the unconscious girls and women. He filmed the sexual assaults on his cell phone.
The public prosecutor's office will announce the amount of the requested prison sentence at a later date.
