Several of the defendants' lawyers rejected the charges at the start of the trial. They said it was inaccurate; minutes and evidence could not be used. The proceedings are to be discontinued. The single judge rejected several motions.
A then 64-year-old woman accompanied her husband, who was dependent on an electric wheelchair, on the Heidiweg on the Pizol. He discovered on the website of Pizolbahnen and Heidiland Tourism that the hiking trail was wheelchair accessible.
This information was false. The accused therefore have to answer for a breach of their duty of care. The couple fell down an embankment on the path. The woman was buried under her husband and his wheelchair. She suffered paraplegia as a result.
