Colatrella has been managing the operational business of CSS Insurance as CEO since 2016. She has now announced her resignation at the end of the year. Following the 125th anniversary and the newly developed strategy, the time has come for her to "embark on her next professional phase", she said in a press release on Wednesday.

During her time at the helm, she and the Board of Directors have fundamentally transformed and strengthened the company, the press release continues. For example, CSS has been able to present successful business results every year. Digitalization has also been driven forward under Colatrella's leadership.

In the press release, the Board of Directors expresses its gratitude for "her enormous contribution". At the same time, the search for a successor has been initiated.
