It said that 27 people were still missing. Rescue workers are working around the clock at the boarding school building in the town of Sidoarjo. A total of 167 people are said to have been in the building at the time of the accident, 104 of whom survived.

The boarding school building was still under construction, but was already in operation. The accident occurred on Monday during the pouring of a concrete ceiling when, according to media reports, a supporting pillar apparently gave way. Many students were in the school at the time and were buried under tons of concrete slabs and bricks.
