The listings portal reports a 10 percent increase in search queries for 2024 compared to the previous year, according to a press release issued on Wednesday. However, the record figures of the "post-pandemic year" 2022 have not yet been reached.
The VW T6.1 also remains the most searched-for converted van model on AutoScout24 for the third year in a row. The Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo and the VW T6 followed in second place. The average price for camper vans on AutoScout24 in the first two months of 2025 was CHF 64,256, according to the figures.
Meanwhile, the trend towards electric motorhomes is not really taking off. "The number of all-electric camper vans available on AutoScout24 is still manageable," the press release states. A search for motorhomes without a pure combustion engine on the portal resulted in five hits. According to Autoscout24, however, this could change this year, as manufacturers such as VW, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot and Opel are likely to launch new models on the market.
