"Last year, 25 out of around 140 million customers on Deutsche Bahn's long-distance services traveled across borders, which is 30 percent more than in 2019," Michael Peterson, Head of Long-Distance Transport, told the German news agency DPA in Frankfurt. "This year, the number is expected to increase slightly again and grow strongly in the following years with more European connections."
